Seoul day 4
My second stop was the blah blah blah museum that had photos and movies of the glory of Seoul. It was a beautiful building with beautiful attendants. No photos.
Next stop after a lovely bus ride up into the hills north of town, was the Hwajeong Museum. There were some lovely Tibetan oils from the 18th and 19th centuries. They are so fragile they are shown in very low light. No photos. I didn't to shatter them with a flash. There is a special exhibit entitled Lust. Many Japanese oils, watercolors and and lithograph prints.
Next, I ventured back and walked too far to see the old wall that protected Seoul in the 14th century. Not impressive, no photos. I did meet two young Americans that had ventured to the same bit of wall for the same reason. They are here going to university. We walked back down the hill together and parted company at the subway.
My old legs were spent. Upon exiting the subway in my neighboorhood I stopped at a small bar and rested with a very lemony gin martini.
