I decided to spend the big bucks, (about $60) flying from Hoi An to Nha Trang. The bus ride was a 12 hour marathon. However, the weather was turning and the airplane was five hours late leaving. As we approached Nha Trang the pilot brought us in very low, very early. I think he was trying to fly below the weather.
It ain't Nha Trang without a Mama Linh boat trip. My first full day it pissed with rain. I decided to book the boat hoping it would change by morning. We had some dry time, but you're wet anyway, so?!
It was a fun bunch, American, Israeli, Cambodian, Singapore, Viet, English etc. At our last stop the rain really started up. The stairs at the harbour were like a waterfall.
I met a Swedish chap on my walk about today. We met for a bia hoi (fresh beer) in the afternoon. We've been hearing gloomy weather reports. It's wet everywhere. I'm flying back to HCMC tomorrow morning. Theres a resort down on the coast that be reached by boat from Saigon. I'll check it out!
