# 62 More Nha Trang

Nha Trang wakes up very early. I had a walk to the beach at 7 A.M. Lots of vietnamese were swimming and playing in the sand. I met a 70 year old Viet man that moved to France in 1962 to earn a masters degree. On the way, he stopped in Seattle to see the worlds fair. As we were chatting, a woman approached us selling lottery tickets. He talked with her for a minute, then told me she was 28 years old, with no husband and a 19 month old child. Then he said he had arranged for her to come to my room if I was interested. I politely declined but bought some lottery tickets.
Vietnam has daily lottteries. The ticket numbers are preprinted. You choose the tickets that have numbers you feel would be lucky for you. The tickets are 5000 Dong each. Thats about 30 cents. The games are local. I had bought tickets in Hoi An, but had not checked the numbers there. The lotto ladies in Nha Trang did not have the list of winning numbers from Hoi An. It was suggested I go on line to find out. I didn't know how to do that, so I gave the tickets away.
Here are photos of a sidewalk cafe and grocery store.
