Series 50 Langkawi (an island) Malaysia
Halloh. I believe it's been three weeks since I've written. I'm sure my readers, (all two of you) are waiting patiently for more installments. Well, here they are.
We arrived safely in Langkawi Malaysia, a duty free island. Our passports had been kept in a waterproof bag, and were turned over to the authorities. It was so casual, I wandered up the pier and found an ATM while our papers were being processed. While I was gone, names were called and passports handed back. Mike collected his and then mine! They didn't even match photos with bodies.
Sigrid had done some research and we selected the AB motel. It was on the beach. A very nice beach with trees shading a common area with tables and benches. We found a homey restaraunt a few metres from our motel and enjoyed several meals and sunsets there.
Many of the tourists were Malaysian. The ladies wore head scarves and were fully dressed when splashing about in the surf. It was a delightful beach atmosphere.
