More more new house

Here's our gentleman farmer, and some shots of the land around the house. The next afternoon, Shaun ran us back into Lampang so Mike and I could catch the night sleeper train south to Bangkok.
Our train was 2 1/2 hours late arriving, which was ideal because that reduced our wait time to only one hour for the next leg to Hua Hin! That train is one of the 'normal' runs. No air con, open windows with ash from the burned rice crops blowing in the car.
Half way there the train broke down. There was a two hour delay before the train could limp into Petchaburi. Dozens didn't wait and walked the 2 kilometers into town. The other 'hundreds' of us detrained at the station to wait for the afternoon 'normal' train. When it arrived late, it was already jam packed with passengers and baggage. We elected to find alternate transportation. A tuk tuk dropped us at the minibus station which was just a spot on the side of the road. Within minutes we were on the go again. With a language barrier, we had no idea what our fare would be. That's always a little unsettling. He drove WAY too fast and in no time we were in the heart of Hua Hin. Our tariff was about $6 U.S. for the both of us.
