Bye Bye Cambodia

Hello my many friends. I have been having some technical and medical issues of late. Last week I downloaded Picasa into one of the guest house computers. Then loaded a bunch of photos for the next round of blogs. David wanted to motorbike down the coast a bit to snorkel at a nice rocky beach. I thought, 'no promplem' I'll send the stories later. When I got back to the computer Picasa and my photos had been removed. So I did it all again. When I tried to send the first one, Blogger said it was unable to do. I tried again. Nothing. I poked around a little and found that my attempts had been sent to drafts. I tried to send it from there. The result was what you saw. A title, blanks for photos, and no dialog. I decided to go to Khins for some lunch. There was a slight tickle under my right eye. As I 'leelaxed'at the beach I could tell cheek was puffing up. I wrapped some ice in my sweat towel to keep the swelling down. There' s no mirror at Khins, so I took a photo of my face. The whole right side was swollen, under and over my eye. Soon the swelling was down to my chin and moving across to the left side. My gums were going numb. I worried it would continue and block my airway. Time to find a doctor. It took three stops but I found a clinic with two Chinese speaking docs with a Khmer assistant who spoke English. The lady doc mixed an unknown concoction of medicines into two needles and shot me in the butt. She prepackaged little baggies of assorted white, yellow and pink pills for three days of doses and supplied me with a bottle of eyedrops labeled in Chinese. The only English on the box and bottle was 'Bauch and Lam' (sp)! I was told if It was not better, to come back the next afternoon, and then was told that if it was better, to come back the next afternoon. The bill was $18. They happily noticed some improvement the next day and administered another injection cocktail. The bill was $10, and I was instructed to return the next day. It was better the third day but still very noticeable. More injections and another $10. I was leaving for Phnom Penh the next morning. They said it would be OK to go.
I fly back to Bangkok tomorrow. If the Apple and Ole house warming party was on schedule it would off to Chiang Mai. It's not, so I'm going back to Hua Hin for awhile. I am just luvin the beach this winter. When I get settled in, I'll try again. I've got some fun photos, and some pretty scary ones of me.
