Phnom Penh was crazy full with people celebrating the big Water festival. It's the same full moon (Nov.) as the Thai Loi Krathong festival. In Thailand people make small boats of banana leaves , adorn them with flowers and candles and set them adrift to ward away bad luck. In Cambodia they just party. There are boat races on the river for three days. People set up curbside shops selling shoes, laundry detergent, toys, water, beer, food, toys etc. It's a mad house. Every large space has a stage built, blaring loud musid and comedy at night. They test the speakers at 7:30 A.M.
