Some foods

Ni does massage at Sirima guest house. There about six or seven women that work there. Every evening they dine together out front. I contribute a big bottle of Hong Tong rum, soda and flat water and sometimes ice cream bars for dessert.
Deep fried frog is pretty good but doesn't taste like chicken.

C U Corner

Heres some local talent. A view looking into the street. This lovely sitting next to the fellow in braces is a Khatoey, a lady boy

I've been remiss.....

Halloh my many friends. I've been plagued with technical issues of late. These first two photos are of Ni. I met her in January. We began to spend time together and she traveled with me to Chiang Mai. Ni tried to delete some photos from my camera that she didn't like. She accidentally erased the entire card. There were some fun photos I would have liked to have shared with you. Oh well! I couldn't be too angry with her, as I have done the same thing twice, and it's my camera!!!
This is Alex from Amsterdam and Manchester Mike (of course). In Krabi he had an additional moniker added. He became marching Manchester Mike. We were shopping for shorts. When we stopped to shop, he powered straight ahead and marched promptly out of sight. The last image is at CU Corner bar. Live music every night, and free BBQ on Fridays.

Oddz an enzzz

This unfinished resort on the beach in Sihanoukville was a work in progress last year. The French company ran out of money. By Cambodian law, if it's not finished in a timely manner, the government can seize the property. It did.
This is an image of a very rare iceburg that floated over from Newfoundland. These folks are having a meal on the shady side of this bus. On my bus trip back to Phenom Penh we had a meal stop. Next to the buiding was a multiple use property. A laundry and garbage dump.
I have been struggling mightily of late with Picasa and Blogger. I don't know if it's the user, the terminal or the providers. I'm back in Hua Hin. It's another Buddah three day holiday. Nuan has jacked the rates at Sirima. Just like Sihanukville during the Chinese New Year. I wonder if the Thai guests get a special rate. Lots of young Thai have looked at rooms and left. Maybe not! The bars are closed today. At Jings we'll be able to sneak some drinks in the back garden, out of sight from the police.
I think you're caught up. I'm going to hang here until I hear about the Apple Ole housewarming. Mike and I talk evey day, gossiping like a couple of gurls! I'm reading the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. It's good. I've got lots of Wonderwords. Time to 'leelax'!
Bye for now, Doahlah

The boat trip

Heres the gang of four. This last image is back at the Airport Bar. These Khmer are watching news coverage of the fighting at Preah Vihear Temple. Ten soldiers have died in the last week. The Khmer are very upset, but in a quiet way not, showing outward anger or hate.

Another boat trip

David, Touch, Nut and I went on a boat trip to a remote island that has a charming little grass bungalo resort on it. This trash was left by a Khmer group. They probably hired a long boat for a new year trip. After finishing their picnic they, they just left the styrofoam food containers on this formerly pristine beach.

The Airport Bar

There is a wealthy Russian that's buying up Sihanoukville. His bar has a Russian passenger plane inside. It's a great place for locals and tourists to hang. Heres Mike and April. This water buffalo is made from concrete. Heres Touch and Nut, and Mike and David. The beach begins about six feet in front of the boys.
This Rusian guy is so rich he bought an island just off shore from his Airport Bar. He's building a bridge to get access to a high end resort he's creating. This bridge is tall enough that large ships will be able to pass under it.
