Nome Yai!

Is there a bug down there? We had lunch on the dock. That's Nee on the left. This lady sold bowls of noodles from her skiff. She had a charcoal cooker onboard. Five Man water with Nee in the background.
We (Abhi and I payed of course) hired a minibus and driver in Hua Hin, so we had flexablility.

The Floating Market

Outside Bangkok is an elaborate system of canals lined with many haome and dozens of small shops. Annie wanted to go when she was visiting me a few years ago, but there wasn't time. Annie, you'll see it now.
This is Nees best pal Boom and her friend Abhi from Oman. Gone is grinning in the background.

More weekend beach action.

Halloh. It took me forever to get this working. Now I'm hungry and have a meet with Nok. Her boyfriend Roger died in Seattle last year. His ashes are in the same building as my mothers. She wants a photo of his name plate. More this afternoon. I promise.

Low tide in Hua Hin.

There was a very low tide that occured on a Saturday. Dozens of local folk were prying tiny oysters off the rocks using a variety of tools. They would separate the top shell and cut away the meat leaving the bottom half of the shell stuck to the rock.

Aoy's

Aoy's is my favourite hangout at the beach. Good food, and it's right below the Hilton. This is the bathroom. boys pee pee down the bamboo tube, girls sit on the stool that's been cut out in the center. This is the view from the toilet. Pee pee only, no poo poo!
