Chesaw finale

Gabis mother brought lots of tasty treats. Neighbors brought more. Heres Jonathan visiting at the bar. Gabi is partially hidden behind Karen at our goodbye photo. The long drive home.
I'm off to Thailand on the 28th. More stories then.

The gala opening

It was a great party, inside and out. Gabi has wonderful friends. We were made very welcome.

Chesaw?

I went to Newfoundland for a party, why not Chesaw. I met Gabi Beyer on Fogo island. She is an artist and friends with Karen and Jonathan. You can see a photo of her with me and K and J on the last installment of the Fogo island blog.
Two aspen trees fell on her studio recently. It was a good time to expand and remodel. With the project completion, why not have a gallery opening party.
Chesaw is in northeast Washington just east of Oroville. I rode with K and J. on friday. We awakened to snow on Saturday. The third image here is beaver house and the fourth, the pond that the beavers created.

There are other nice things to look at. I just got a new Alaska credit card. If airfares are still cheap next spring, maybe I'll return!

Honolulu 2

There was a little rain the first day. The other days were lovely. Not too hot in the day and comfortable in the evenings. No need for air con. I slept with my door open.

Honolulu

I took a little trip to Hawaii to get some sun. Honolulu is an easy destination. Theres good beach, cheap food, and lots to see. I stayed at the Park Shore Hotel near the zoo. This is the view from my room. The Royal Hawaiian Hotel is a classic. I don't know when it was built, but a long time ago. The last image shows it from nearly a mile away.
